Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles getting another movie reboot

movie reboot

Following the box office disappointment of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out Of The Shadows, Paramount Pictures looks like it’s opted to go back to square one with the movie franchise. It comes two films into the current reboot line, with the studio keen to keep the franchise going. But also, it now seems it wants a new live action movie to all but start again.

Andrew Dodge (Bad Words) has been hired to develop the screenplay for the new film. The producers of the last two films – Michael Bay, Andrew Form and Brad Fuller – are all involved, although to what creative extent remains to be seen. Bay, for one, has other projects on the go.

It’s not 100% confirmed that the new film will be a reboot, but it’s all but certain it is. There’s no director in the frame for the job that we know of as of yet, but we’ll keep you posted as we hear more. A full casting change is also expected, incidentally.
